The Center for Applied and Professional Ethics (CAPE) was established in 2004 by the faculty of the Institute of Philosophy, Russian Academy of Sciences under the aegis of the Department of Ethics.

The CAPE facilitates and support various educational and research programs in the field of applied ethics and professions. The CAPE provides consultancy in practical ethical projects and ethical aspects of social, political, business, corporate, professional, biomedical projects and their on-going expertise.

Considering the most urgent social needs and their public awareness, the CAPE concentrates its efforts in the following directions:
• the ethics of public policy;
• business and corporate ethics;
• biomedical ethics.

The CAPE offers consulting activities and training seminars for:
• university faculty;
• officers, advisors, and experts of legislation bodies of all level;
• leaders of grass-roots civil groups and organizations;
• PR and HR officers;
• members of ethical committee for medical and pharmacological institutions.
